Candid camera: Christina Aguilera's mugshot has been revealed following her arrest yesterday for public intoxication
A pale, and bleary-eyed Christina Aguilera stares directly into the camera in her mugshot after her arrest for public intoxication.
The 30-year-old singer was taken in by police around 2.45am yesterday morning because she 'was not capable of taking care of herself' a Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman has said.
And now Aguilera's booking photo has been revealed, showing the mother-of-one shortly after she was taken into custody.
It comes as reports in the U.S. media claim friends have been encouraging Aguilera to enter rehab for some time.
'Her drinking is out of control,' an Aguilera source tells America's Us Weekly. 'She's a total mess.'

A surreptitious photo of the mugshot was posted on website E! News as LA Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said it will not be released to the public as she will not face charges.
Aguilera was driven home from the West Hollywood police station at 7.30am yesterday morning after being released from police custody.
Her boyfriend Matthew Rutler, 25, left jail on $30,000 bail after being arrested for driving under the influence.
Aguilera a passenger in the car driven by Rutler who was observed driving dangerously, and when stopped by officers, the petite singer was unable to stand by herself.
Us Magazine claims the former Disney star has been caught up in numerous alcohol-fuelled drama in recent months.
She was allegedly involved in an heated argument with her mother Shelly Kearns on New Year's Eve.

'Christina then yelled "Who do you think you are?" It was crazy!'
She was also reported to have passed out drunk in Jeremy Renner's bed after turning up uninvited to his star-studded birthday party at his Beverly Hills home on January 8.
Steve Whitmore, the chief public information officer for the Los Angeles Sheriffs department said of her arrest:
'They [police] witnessed a person driving erratically,' Whitmore said.
'At 2.45am this morning a gentleman was stopped for allegedly driving under the influence.
'He was subsequently arrested and his passenger, Ms Aguilera, she was arrested.
'It was kind of a unique situation with this law as she was not capable of taking care of herself. She was incapacitated.
'When she got out of the car, she couldn't stand. We had to help her stand," he added.
'She didn't know where she was and she didn't know her own address.
'We took her into custody for her own protection.
'She was co-operative and she was not belligerent in any way whatsoever. She was just intoxicated.'

Whitmore said the Sheriff's department had no intention of pressing charges on the singer but noted that she would have an arrest record.
Aguilera began dating Rutler in November last year just two months after she split from her husband of five years, Jordan Bratman.
The former couple have a three-year-old son, Max.

After the news of Aguilera's arrest broke, Bratman distracted little Max by taking him to the park in Santa Monica.
Aguilera and Rutler had met months earlier on the set of her movie Burlesque, which co-starred singing legend Cher.

Aguilera, who was listed at 5'2" and 100lbs on her booking sheet, was allowed to leave the station early yesterday morning after proving she was able to make her own way.
The arrest is the latest in a series of publicly humiliating moments for the singer.
She was forced to apologise after mixing up the words to the National Anthem during her Super Bowl performance on February 6.
She then tripped and fell to the ground while taking part in an all-star tribute to R&B legend Aretha Franklin at the Grammy Awards on February 13.
Meanwhile, pregnant singer Pink posted a less than supportive tweet on the arrest on her Twitter page.
She told fans: 'Out of Myself, Britney, and Christina - didn’t everyone think I was gonna be the troublemaker? LOOK MA!!! No CUFFS!!'
