After the chill schedule in Alleppey, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay was working in Marakkanam for his 50th film ‘Sura’. The shoot that started on October 21st was to can a few stunt sequences on the Uppaneri Bridge near Marakkanam Salt Lake. Vijay fought with villain Dev’s gang for almost threes days, say the sources.

Then after a three days gap, the shoot resumed in Prasad Studio and AVM Studio on October 27th. Sources from the film’s crew said that two song sequences were shot in the studios with grand sets.

Now the whole team is gearing-up to start the third schedule of the shoot in Hyderabad. This schedule will be starting from November 5th onwards.

When things are going like this, birdies chirped that ‘Jayam’ Raja may direct Vijay’s 51st film. But latest we could hear sources stating that Lingusamy has approached Vijay with a script.

The audio launch of Sidhu Plus 2, directed by K Bhagyaraj, took place at the Sathyam Cinemas this morning. The audio was released by Ilayathalapathi Vijay and producer AVM Saravanan. Kalaipuli S Dhanu received the first copy.


Speaking at the function, Vijay said that his mother and son are great fans of Shantanu. They both had seen his earlier film Sakkarakatti and thoroughly enjoyed it. Vijay also expressed his desire to work with music director Dharan soon, as music is just fantastic in Sidhu Plus 2.

Jayam Ravi who was present at the function lauded Shantanu’s performance in the film after watching the trailer. He remarked that though Shantanu was his junior in college he will soon turn out to be his senior in acting. While praising Dharan for his exemplary music in Sidhu Plus 2, Jayam Ravi said that his brother Jayam Raja also is very keen to work with Dharan.

FAZIL MEET VIJAY

Vijay is planning to act in a breezy entertainer to be


 directed by Fazil, the man behind the actor’s smash


 hit ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’, say sources in the know.

Saying that the filmmaker had


 called on the ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’ 


recently, they say that he had 


narrated a storyline during the meeting, which 


impressed Vijay a lot.

However, since Vijay’s image has undergone a sea 


change in the past decade, the actor has politely 


asked the director to make some changes in the 


script to suit to his present image, it is said.

Following this, Fazil is currently working on the 


script and would present the final draft to Vijay 


soon, sources add. The director-actor duo came 


together for two movies in the past- one the super 


hit ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’ and the other is 


‘Kannukkul Nilavu’, a damp squib.

LINGUSAMY TO DIRECT VIJAY?

Now that his Karthi-Tamannah


starrer ‘Paiya’ is nearing 


completion, Lingusamy is 


getting ready for the next. The hero of the film 


is none other than Vijay, who is currently acting 


in ‘Sura’ in the direction of S P Rajakumar.

Says Lingusamy, “I am penning a story for 


Vijay, which would touch new heights in action 


genre. Plans are on to make the movie in a 


grand scale by making use of all latest technical 


advancements.”

On reports he would direct Chiranjeevi’s son 


Ramcharan Teja, the filmmaker says, “Yes. I 


am also planning to direct Ramcharan. His 


performance in ‘Magadheera’ is simply 


stunning. I have narrated two stories to him.”

Ask him about ‘Paiya’, he says, “it is a 


travelogue kind of action adventure. Karthi 


starts a journey from Bangalore to Mumbai 


along with Tamannah. The hurdles they face 


during their trip and they overcome everything

When Anwar was contacted to find whether he and producer Manianpillai Raju had sold the Tamil remake rights, the director said with a smile –“No comments”!
Meanwhile, Vijay is keeping an extremely low profile, after his short lived attempt to launch political party with the help of Congress and Vettaikaran not releasing for Diwali. He is also not seen at Kollywood events.
At the same time, he has thrown himself on his work as Sura shoot on a huge fishing village set in Alleppy beach in Kerala is over. The unit has now moved to Marakkanam fishing village near Villipuram in Tamil Nadu.

Vijay’s fiftieth film Sura, directed by SP Rajakumar, was kick started some time in September and has been progressing well. The film has Tamanna playing the female lead for the first time opposite Vijay. The cast and crew are gung ho about the film as it is a landmark project in Ilayathalapathi Vijay’s career and are reportedly giving their best. A few scenes of Sura are to be filmed at Marakkanam in Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu, including a song, we hear. There are reports that the team had erected a huge set for the purpose in this coastal area.

While Vijay and Nayantara rocked the scene with a single dance number in Sivakasi, Villu in which the two acted together, was less successful. But that does not mean they should not try it again, right?
When Vijay and reputed Malayalam director Fazil came together to make Kadhaluku Maraiyadhai, the movie was a fabulous hit, and that prompted them to work together again to make the offbeat Kannukul Nilavu.
Now we hear that there is a slight possibility that Vijay and Nayan may come together for a movie to be directed by Fazil. Titled Sura, work on the movie is supposed to begin soon after Vettaikaran hits the screens. However, with other superhit makers like Jayam Raja and Siddhique also expressing interest in directing Vijay, it’s not yet confirmed who will direct Vijay's next venture. Fazil is not exactly the director one can associate with Vijay’s current mass image, but one can never be sure...

vettaikaran release again postponed

Vettaikaran release date has been postponed and will not be releasing on Nov 6th which  we informed earlier as the release date. Shooting for a song is going on now and will be over by today  and the post production works  will be completed by the coming week. But the sad news is that Production council has now come up with a new rule that movies including big star cast should be released only on festival days so as to have a good opening if the movie fails to do big.

So our Ilayathalapathy Vijay s Vettaikaran release date has been postponed as of now and the release date has not yet been confirmed yet. We will get to know about the exact release date only after diwali. May be we can expect the movie for Christmas. So watchout the space for more updates.

The delay in the release of his maiden film has not dampened the spirits of Babu Sivan. The ‘Vettaikkaran’ director is optimistic about the movie’s success and says, “Vijay and the script will be the two highlights of the film.”

The debutant director, who promises that ‘Vettaikkaran’ will be a completely commercial movie, with great songs, action sequences and a message, adds: “I am really excited. It is such an honour to work for an AVM production starring Vijay as hero. His appeal and reach are just amazing.”

And his excitement is double while talking about the acquisition of the film by Sun Pictures. “Everyone knows about the marketing strategy of Sun. It is no doubt an added advantage to Vettaikkaran”, he says.

“The crew has a strong contingent of technicians, including cinematographer Ravivarman, music director Vijay Antony, art director Milan and editor V T Vijayan. Vijay is an actor par excellence. So, I am sure about the success of Vettaikkaran,” signs of Babu Sivan.

So finally after all the rumours here it is. Happy news for all Vijay fans is that our Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Vettaikaran will be hitting the screens on Nov 6. Since shooting is going on for a song and a very few talkie portions which will end up this week there has been a delay in releasing the movie. Now Sun pictures and AVM together has finalised the date of release to be Nov 6. Since being 49th movie of Vijay and already songs have received a great response the expectations about the movie is soaring high day by day.

Since release date being on Nov 6 the trailer of the movie can be expected from this diwali onwards. So watchout the space for more news and updates.

Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay will perform a dance together with his cute son Sanjay in title song of Vettaikkaran. Though, the news has been kept secretive in terms of offering sudden surprise to all Vijay’s fans, it has somehow spread across.
Now the latest buzz is that many leading producers and filmmakers have approached Vijay to let his son act in their films based on child subject. Nonetheless, the actor hasn’t been affirmative to their call since he strongly believes that his son must do well with his education and later decide his career.

AVM’s post-Vettaikaran plans

Now that Vijay’s Vettaikaran is wrapped up waiting to be released for Diwali, AVM seems to have arrived at plans for the next movie. The production house has decided to produce a direct Telugu flick this time.

Last heard, Venkatesh has been zeroed in on for the movie and discussions are on about the finalization of the cast and the rest of the crew members. An official announcement is expected anytime soon.
