I have a feeling this is going to open up a lot of loopholes and backdoors for foreign developers.

So Im a freelance Editor/Motion Graphics guy with no real understanding of RAID Controller Cards, or how they work.
As of right now I have three 1TB drives inside my Mac Pro, RAIDed together (stripe 0) using the OS. No Raid card.
The drives are all 7200rpm from varying manufacturers. (not sure if this matters.)
My questions is; is it beneficial for me to get a RAID card to control these drives vs. leaving it to the OS to handle? Any suggestions for me?

It may have something running in the background that prevents the automatic sleeping. Check system prefs, accounts, your account, login items to see if it starts up automatically at login. If it does, select that and click the minus button. You can also check activity monitor to see if there are programs running in the background keeping it awake.

As far as Amazon displaying more, several only show the 1st chapter, really after you have a few books it becomes more difficult to find a book that has something new in it that hasn't been covered by the other books.
I have no problem buying another book, I just don't want to buy a book that covers what I already have covered in other books.
I used to be able to browse the whole book and determine if it was going to be helpful before purchase, this doesn't seem to be the case with online books.
Books aren't expensive, but I don't want to have a bunch of books that mostly cover the same thing. Even in the past it was hard to find a good book that covered things in great detail so that you could really exploit things.
Looks like Amazon has one such book coming out about CoreAudio, I'm looking forward to that one :)

I don't understand why people wait so long to update... like if you have a 3gs there was no reason not to upgrade to 4.0 when it was a website based jailbreak.. your missing out on so many features fixes and upgrades.. I just dont get it

I'm fairly sure they do nothing to the game UNLESS the game says it needs it. I know Perfect Dark only works (well you can do a few things without the expansion pack...) well with the pack. But thats the only game I know of that needs it... maybe LoZ:MM?

Have fun, Warhay. Among Apple stores in Southern California, it's one of the best places to hang out or wait in line, at least in daytime or evening hours. I've been to a few Apple events there and it was always lively. Probably not as lively at 4am. If you'll be online, let us know what the line is like when you get there.

Hi, ive been using bootcamp for a couple months now, but just yesterday after turning on my mac + holding alt/option and choosing my windows partition, it goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor on the topleft corner. I dont wanna delete the partition cause i have lots of stuff on it and dont wanna restart all over again:(... Can anyone help please? Thank you
