Nothing is going to happen...I think rumor is spread by AILA itself so that all people can submit the papers before 2nd July and attorneys can file the cases on 3rd before they go on July 4th vacation, Just watch nothing going to happen in July, No new bulletin.

I live in Jersey City. I am planning to move to NYC. My company and job location stays the same. I have filed my I-485 (received July 23rd) with I-140pending. I don't have my I-485 receipt notice, only I-140 receipt.
1) Is it safe to change one's residence(different state) ?
2) How do I update my address for I-485 so that I get the receipt notice at the new address ? As far as I know USCIS stuff is not forwarded by USPS.

It is advisable not to move until you get fingerprinting notice.
The reason is that you can't update your address before you get receipt notice and FP notice comes very shortly after you get receipt notice. You may or may not get your address updated in time to get FP notice at your new address. Given the workload at the USCIS at this time, try to make things as simple as you can.

We all know that we are able to file 485 on July and we got EAD due to IV efforts. Which in turn helping us to get a 600$ rebate for the spouse (Some plan to spend the money).. Can we make a pledge here that we will contribute a certain % to our organization? The % can be your choice. The idea of buying a used camera is based on the fact that once you have played a bit with "your own camera" you have a much better idea of what you like and dislike about particular features. If you spend a lot of money (most of what you can afford) then you don't have any spare for "improving on what you got". If you get something similar but a lot less expensive, in the "bargain basement", then you know what it's like, and you can get the "new model" when you have saved a little more money.
Mark's (Swartzphotography) suggestion is another good one - most digital SLR's are never "used up" - there isn't much that can really go wrong, as it's 99.9% electronics, and that's either completely broken [immediately obvious] or it's working right. Aside from ones that look like they have been used by a pro for a long time [look for big scratches, scrapes and worn off paint on the corners], it should be fine to buy a used one. For example a Canon EOS Digital Rebel or Canon EOS 10D, or Nikon D70.

I would suggest if you could get the perm process started ASAP. Now a days it is getting approved quite fast, you may be good. You may also want to ask your manager if you could work remotely from outside US for couple of months. As per my understanding, if say you are short of 4 months between your PD and H1 expiry date you can do one of the following
1. Shift to some other status like H4
2. Move out of country for 4 months. Your employer will need to get H1 extension and you new stamping.
But as soon as labor gets approved, you will need to file for I140 and your will be good for 3 more year.
This is just from my understanding. I am in similar boat. Going out of US for 6 weeks starting from July.
Assuming that his Labor does not get approved before his I-94 expiry:
1. Moving to H4 can only help him to stay in US but staying on H4 for few months and then trying to get H1 extension beyond 6 yrs is not possible....this is my understanding
2. Moving out of US is the only option in case of labor still pending.

You don't need to be working in the US while the AOS is pending. You just need to have the job when permanent residence is approved, or to have a job in the "same or similar occupational classification."

I called up and spoke to the IO and asked him about the rejection of I-485 due to old fees and he defended that the application would be rejected without the new fee, I tried to explain him about the July bulletin 107 and that people who were on employment based category and whose dates were current should have used only the OLD FEES till August 17th, he did not agree about it and I did not force the issue!
If the IO officers don't agree about the right facts how would the people who just check the fee! I am sure that is why my application was rejected!
I am not sure what to do! Can somebody suggest anything!
How to let those people know that when we applied in August there was a bulletin which said that we can apply with old fee!

While at J1-visa, my employer applied for H1B for me. After 3-months of no response from uscis, we sent a check for $1000 for 'premium processing'. My H1B was approved 4 days after check was mailed out. A week after approval Uscis 'REFUNDED' the check with a note the 'case was approved in regular process' hence the refund.
You can hope to get the refund and if not write to uscis and they are honest about these things.

I would like to know some details about EB3.
Currently the priority date for EB3 India is May�01.
My PD is Mar�2004.
When no reforms happen, how long approximately it will take to reach my PD.
I know it is based on how many people applied, yearly and per country limit. Can any one guess or possibly know how we can find about these details about movement such that how many people applied, if it goes on the same speed then how long it will take to move from one year to next year. Can anyone guess?

you can do any job you want in US, it does not have to be in any specific field.
Since you are/were on h4 you are a beneficiary. Only the primary applicant has to
work in the field in which his/her labor was filed, that too untill one gets the green card.

Go to Homepage-> Forums ( on left menu) and look for EAD specific topics.
Or search on this topic.
