My :apple: MacBook's screen keeps randomly going black! It only turns back on if i either move my screen forward or backward. Do you guys know what the problem might be?

As far as I know, Peter is right. .mac uses WebDAV rather than FTP. :)

I am really in an emergency and I have not seen or found anyone selling the small circle water sensors that are like papers, which stick to the top side of the screw. The screw is the one that keeps the logic board in place, does anyone know where I can find the small water sensors for sale? Thanks very much.

I was looking at the Canada apple refurb store and they don't have a 16gb ipad...but the U.S. one does!
...any idea why? and will we see them again in the Canadian store?? the last time they were on was right after the iPad2 announcement ($379CND which is a ripoff compared to the US store where it's $329...but still a good deal!)
also, refurb.me/ca does not even show the 16gb model... :(

I believe this is to allow you to start your computer from a Mac OS X install disc on a remote computer. You will need to connect to your wireless network to see the available discs.
I think this feature was more useful for original MacBook Air and/or for installing Snow Leopard. Since the new MBAs come with a USB drive, and Lion is expected (or at least rumored) to be distributed as an App Store download, you probably won't need to use it at all.

That's not how civilization works. What happens is that a superior country will immigrate people from external inferior lands where necessary. Much, as you can imagine, to take over the "low end" jobs to support the "high end" workers. An early version of this is known as "slavery". Today, we just give immigrants low wages and more "freedom" albeit they still mop the floor so the CEO doesn't slip.
It's also consistent with the idea of importing "strong slaves". Those migrant workers are often the hard workers and upper teir of thier former civilization. Because...those are the ones who make the trip and are productive enough to be allowed to stay without being weeded out.
Later, when these "strong slaves" reproduce, it provides the country with strong genetic stock for future workers, whom some will break away from the lower classes. It doesn't matter if they are not part of the "2.1 whites". As a matter of fact, many 2.1 white rednecks trickle to the lower classes, just as super strong immigrates get to invent some of our greatest weapons.
Furthurmore, as technology advances, "manpower" is compensated by "brainpower". Before the steam engine cycle was invented, it would take like 100 slaves to get the boat of wheat accross the ocean. Now it takes maybe one or a couple of engineers...to play cards...until something breaks.

iOS for iphone is an exclusive smartphone OS. Or are you telling me that ipod touch and ipad run the same exact OS?
Laptops and desktops run the same exact OS. There are no apps that are made specifically for a laptop or desktop. There are iphone apps that wont run on an ipod touch. There are ipad apps that wont run on an ipod touch or an iphone. If they were the same OS then that wouldnt happen.
