I have one, and there's a few threads on this site already about them.
no boot support in OS X, but you can read and write to it if you install the Sil driver.
I use it as my windows boot drive in my mac pro, works great for that. You will have to put the BCD environment for windows on a regular SATA attached HD, but that's the only special configuration needed to get windows to boot from it in a mac pro.

Didn't see this posted yet, I would hate to be on the Comair plane as it gets whipped around. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision of an Airbus A-380 and a smaller plane at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Air France Flight 7, bound for Paris, was taxiing on a runway Monday night when its left wingtip struck the tail of Comair Flight 6293, which had just landed from Boston and was taxiing to its gate at Kennedy, one of the nation's busiest airports.
There were no injuries.
Both planes were being inspected Tuesday. Pilots and crew will also be interviewed.
Passenger Lawrence Grotts was on board the Air France plane.
"It really felt just like a speedbump or like hitting a pothole -- a jolt -- but it didn't feel right ... like that shouldn't be happening," he said.
The NTSB said it has requested the flight recorders and will review air traffic control tapes and what is known as ground radar data.
The double-deck Airbus A-380 had 495 passengers and 25 crew members on board, Air France said in a statement. The Comair CRJ 700 Regional Jet had 62 passengers and four crew members.
"This incident only caused material damage to the two aircraft," Air France said. The airline said it is assisting the NTSB.
Maxine Lubner, chair of the aviation department at Vaughn College, said communication could have been a problem.
"When the plane, the A-380, was on the taxiway, Alpha, it's under FAA control," she said. "The regional jet may have already been switched to the company's frequency."
Lubner said the Air France pilots should have been able to see the smaller aircraft.

My apologies for being vague, but I too are not sure about your setup as well. So bare with the directions.
Open WireTap, select preferences;
File saving setting: select the desktop.
Recording file settings: QuickTime Player
Sound Compression settings: None, 44.1kHz, 16bit, stereo.
This should set up your files for import.
Open iTunes. Select add to library and add all your desired files. Make a new playlist. Add all the newly imported files and burn.
*Make sure your discs are compatible. Make sure your time length doesn't exceed the capacity of the disc. If this stuff doesn't work, read everything possible to broaden your computer skills. That's what I do. Cheers! Bmode.

Exactly. Fine tuned for the new Joe-sumer iOS market, but nothing mind blowing for us Prosumers.
From all the new features in Lion I am pretty sure I won't be using one: The Launchpad. It is crippled and acts as an iOS app. What happened to right clicking? Context Menus? Why do I need to drag an app over another in order to create a folder? Why can't I just right click and create an empty folder? When Apple makes the Launchpad a Desktop OS app, I might use it.

Yes, that does look very cool. :) Would you please post a pic of how you wrapped the PS printout for the top layer around the rounded corners of the top casing? I didn't understand that. :(

If you want a true fresh state, use the Software Installation and Restore media that came with your system. See Apple Knowledge Base article #42929 (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42929) and if you have DVDs, the process for either of the PowerBooks should be the same as for your MacMini.
EDIT: This stil won't work because the only way to run this utility is AFTER the Setup Assistant finishes; I've never tried deleting the .AppleSetupDone file to re-run the setup assistant after al the relevant updates have been installed.

Oooh, I really hope you can help me. I'm looking for a bottom rubber foot (don't need the bracket, just the rubber) and a rubber screen "foot" for an iBook G4. I know it isn't much, but it would be really awesome if you could help me out. PM me if you can with how much you'd be looking for.

That's not an error, just a warning or message telling you the following: in one of the default R packages called "datasets" there is also a variable called "sleep," and since you're using attach() on a different variable also called sleep, you won't be able to access the sleep variable in the "datasets" package in the same way anymore. When you ask for "sleep," R will use your version.
If you're familiar with namespaces or global variables vs. local variables in any other programming language, it's similar to that. If not, basically, it's telling you there are two things called "sleep," and since you've told R to use yours, the other one is now hidden or "masked."
I'd suggest not using the attach() function, and just accessing variables through the $ operator. Do fp1c$sleep instead, or use data=fp1c if you're using it in a function like lm() or something.

Hi, I want to put some CD's that I purchased on my iTunes to put on my iPod. The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?
Thank You!
If you have an external hard drive just move the files from one computer to another, it's pretty easy if you do it that way. If you don't have one, just use the program I used to use, Idump Pro, here's a link for the cnet download of that program. http://download.cnet.com/iDumpPro/3000-2141_4-10805181.html

Hi, if I want to update my jailbroken iPhone will I need to restore it before (or at any point during)?
I realise I'll lose my jailbreak, but I'm just wondering if it would require a restore.
(Sorry if it's been asked over and over again but I can't find anything that directly answers this question.)
To answer your question, I just upgraded from JB 4.3.1 to JB 4.3.2 without restoring. Just updated to stock 4.3.2 in iTunes, then ran redsn0w over it to jailbreak, then reinstalled all my JB packages.
Not sure if not going through a full restore will have any adverse affects, I certainly haven't noticed any yet though!

I've heard from AppleInsider that TRIM is long due to the macs and that Apple will enable TRIM support in Lion update...
After I've installed an Intel x25-m G2 SSD onto my 2010 MBP 13", the benchmarks were low compared to that on Windows platform. I also noticed the Apple's own stock SSD (mostly Toshiba or Samsung) have aggressive GC, but their read/write speeds are off compared to many decent SSD's on the market, like sandforce powered OCZ Vertex 3, or intel G3.
Funny thing is that Apple's own solid state drives has their own GC, and enables TRIM on-the-fly, as reported by Anandtech, but I wasn't very sure.
Has anyone have any ideas if and when TRIM will be implemented on macs, since it is really needed for people with SSD's in their macs?

I have one and use it for snowboarding. I mount it to my helmet and record at 720p 60fps. I really like it a lot. The battery lasts around 4 hours after recording about an hour. Of course this is when its 20 degrees outside, so the cold does not help the battery.

I could never get pwnage to produce a working ipsw for my iPad 3G... so I took the iBSS & kernelcache (rename to zip and extract) from ..customrestore.ipsw for tetheredboot. make sure your iPad is running the Apple 4.3 and jailbreak using redsnow.. point to 4.2.1 ipsw, it will not boot, when it hangs blackscreen with a white square use tetheredboot and u have cydia... :)
That's pretty sneaky, gonna have to try that out!

you should settle with a Nvidia 6800 Ultra.
Oh no, OP - avoid it like plague. It's loud, hot and frequently failing card (and it isn't "top of the line" preformance wise).
Of original Mac ones X800 or X850XT will be most powerful. Of flashed ones 7800GS, like Transporteur said.

never sell to friends, should something go wrong with it, it's bound to create tension between the two of you, especially since money is involved.
