It all depends. I liked the V600 better than the V400 for these reasons.
It was made out of Metal/Aluminium instead of plastic.
I seemed to be able to hear better on it. Although i think it was do mainly to ergonomics.
I liked the look and feel of it much better. To me the V400 was the beta, and the V600 was the final product.
I value style, and durability, so I went with the V600. Also, I had a V60 which I loved. Possibly the best phone I have ever owned, and the V600 remind me much of it. I'm sure was a big part of my decision.
And as for battery life, if I remember correctly it was about the same. No huge difference.
So I guess if your an average user, The V400 is a good fit.
BTW, I dont think Cingular sells the V600 anymore. I think they replaced it with a 500 series phone. Which is made out of plastic :(Well im using the samsung sgh-x427 non m model and i like it except for the fact that it will only hold 3 downloaded full audio ring tones which is freakin lame imo only 3!! I mean come on. Also its not a camera phone and the battery is less than satisfactory. I want a camera phone with great battery life, i do a lot of text meseging and on the phone all the time i want something that will last me at least 4 days without having to run to my life saving charger. Am i asking to much? ah well come on cingular the technology is there isnt it :cool:

The second example is really significantly front-focused, and is shot at f/2.8, so I don't think your focus and recompose technique is to blame (I'd expect a lot less change in focus using the slight focus and recompose you've used here).
Did you lock focus on the eyes and then recompose? Is it possible that you re-focused after you recomposed?
i had a similar problem with my nikon 50mm, inconsistent focus and hunting for focus, even after i locked it. Problem was, I thought i locked it, but i didn't check the settings on the camera iteself. I was set up for continuous focus instead of single focus, which accounted for the lens hunting and refocusing everytime i tried to compose a shot.
not sure if this helps, but once i did realize my error of not resetting the camera for what i was trying to do, the problem was gone.
Both of these sound like a good analysis of what may ahve caused your issues. I have a nifty 50 which I got recently but have only had it out once so far and did not notice any issues. But I was not doing potrait like fotos either. good luck.

Hey can you guys tell me what I need to change to become valid html?
Result: Tentatively passed validation
File: test.html
Encoding: utf-8
Doctype: -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN
Unknown Parse Mode!
The MIME Media Type (text/html) for this document is used to serve both SGML and XML based documents, and it is not possible to disambiguate it based on the DOCTYPE Declaration in your document. Parsing will continue in SGML mode.
No DOCTYPE found!
Attempting validation with HTML 4.01 Transitional.
The DOCTYPE Declaration was not recognized or is missing. This probably means that the Formal Public Identifier contains a spelling error, or that the Declaration is not using correct syntax. Validation has been performed using a default "fallback" Document Type Definition that closely resembles "HTML 4.01 Transitional", but the document will not be Valid until you have corrected this problem with the DOCTYPE Declaration.
This Page Is Tentatively Valid -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN
The uploaded document "test.html" was checked and found to be tentatively valid -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN. This means that with the use of some fallback or override mechanism, we successfully performed a formal validation using an SGML or XML Parser. In other words, the document would validate as -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN if you changed the markup to match the changes we have performed automatically, but it will not be valid until you make these changes
The code I have for this so far is:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
What else do I need to become valid?

May I ask why you are getting rid of them? And does the dented one work (I see the other one on in the pics, but the dented one is off?)

yeah i ran across that review when searching. it's only slightly faster though, and a little harder to overclock. but i bet it would be good at folding. i wonder if many people are using them?
I wonder if cuda would run on the 9400? graphics chip? that would help get some extra ppd. Too bad you can't change graphics boards in that monster iMac, it seems like it could use faster graphics for that large monitor.

A big problem with the big megapixels is the amount of storage they take on your phone. You cannot adjust the megapixel size down with a phone camera like you can with a point & shoot camera.
I think you can adjust the resolution on Windows Phone 7.

Pretty much every phone I've had has has adjustable resolution settings.

I agree with arcobb.
I have the early 09 2.0Ghz with CTO 4GB RAM and the late 09 2.53Ghz stock with 4GB RAM.
I do notice a difference with video encoding but not really with other tasks, I think. Though it does depend what you're doing whether you'll notice much of a difference. You may do tasks that would benefit from a faster CPU that I don't.
There is no 2011 Mini yet (the current models are mid-2010), so it's difficult to say yet whether it'll be worth the upgrade to the new models that come out hopefully within a few months or so.
If you get a new Mini you may as well upgrade it using 3rd party RAM and get 8GB (2x4GB) RAM.
Whilst the RAM is easier to upgrade in the 2010 Mini, the hard drive is harder to upgrade in the 2010 Mini.
You could just put a SSD in your current Mini. If you don't want the optical drive in your current Mini you could put a couple of SSDs in RAID-0 (or have a SSD and a hard drive) in the Mini e.g. using the OWC Data Doubler: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/DDMMCL0GB/
In case you were wondering you can put 8GB RAM (2x4GB) In your current mini, but you need to make sure you've installed the EFI Firmware Update 1.2 from August 2009 first: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL888
Instructions for checking whether you've already installed that update are here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1237

Glad to see they are still hardworking on fixing and improving "not-new" products.
That's one thing I really hate about apple. Once a new revision comes out, if you have a problem with the previous generation product you may as well forget about it ever getting fixed.

I would agree with 2tb.. I use the 2tb Hitchai 7200 rpm drives..I have not had luck with the western digital green drives.
I also seen the 2tb Hitchai drives work in the Xserve G5, Xserve and xserve 2009. My Xserve2006 was very flacky.
I do think the 3tb drives will work in the 2008 or newer xserve, but I have not tested it. I will report back on that

Yes, that does look very cool. :) Would you please post a pic of how you wrapped the PS printout for the top layer around the rounded corners of the top casing? I didn't understand that. :(
All I really did was put the paper on the back (inside) of the case, and then kind of creased it on the edges where the case curved. That held it in place long enough for me to place the cover back on the computer itself. I didn't glue it or anything, just a simple crease with my finger along the edge. Sorry I don't have any pics, I really can't take this apart again, the screws are really worn and stripped.

So at one point in my code, I use mysqli_ping() to check if a connection to mysql is still alive. In C, doing this will actually reconnect the connection if it dies, but with PHP it just returns true or false, which is fine.
My problem is thus. On occasion, I get this error:
Message: mysqli_ping() [<a href='function.mysqli-ping'>function.mysqli-ping</a>]: Couldn't fetch mysqli
In an effort to prevent this, I have tried EVERYTHING I could think of to prevent the ping from being executed, to absolutely no avail:
if (is_object($conn) && mysqil_ping($conn))
if ($conn != null && mysqli_ping($conn))
if (!empty($conn) && mysqli_ping($conn))
if (isset($conn) && mysqli_ping($conn))
if (!is_null($conn) && mysqli_ping($conn))
try {
mysqli_ping($conn);
} catch (Exception $e){
}
I am totally at the end of my rope on this. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

I have an old LC 575 that I'm using for mostly playing games and some word processing, no internet, though. I'm wondering if I should upgrade from 7.5.5 to 7.6 or from 7.5.5 to 8.0. I'm probably going to pick up 32mb of RAM soon, so I'm ready for any OS to be on it.
Any thoughts?
You'll probably get different answers but my opinion would be that unless the game requires it, don't upgrade to a later system.

How about the airport express it's much cheaper then the extreme and can do almost anything the extreme can and more. The only disadvantage with the express over the extreme is that it can only have ten computer on its network at any given time were as the extreme can handle 50. Linsys makes some pretty good stuff too and they are less expensive but the express just has os many useful features. Plus it sense it so small you can take it with you on trips and make networks wherever you go, I do this all the time its great. :)

sharp sells a 30" hdtv. if you could hook the machine up to something like that, and have it broadcast at the right resolution, it may look okay. lets hope that if this does happen, it's not a plasma. they're cool, but the picture really sucks as if many of the people here hasn't seen one in an electronics store, or anything :) )

Apple made it clear last year in August that they were not going to have any new hardware at the Paris Expo (2001). They most likely will do the same again this year.
BTW, when is the expo? Seriously...
If there isn't going to be new hardware, then, ladies and gentlemen, let's take a look at the software department. There is the possibility of iCal and iSync to follow up to iPod OS 1.2 and Jaguar, along with the possibility of an iMovie/FCP update. I would pay close attention to a possible iPhoto 2 at Paris, though, as I think it will provide the option to load specific pics, instead of just dumping everything on your camera onto your computer.
